Omicron variant cases found in Munster and Cardiff Rugby Club

The Omicron variant is a new variant of covid-19. Munster and Cardiff to remain in Cape Town after the Covid 19 new variant case was found in players and staff. Authorities have shown concerns about the variant of coronavirus called the “Omicron variant”.

Three cases including players and staff have been found. The authorities confirm the two cases are in Cardiff and one in the Munster club. They are in isolation now.

“Munster Rugby will remain in Cape Town while we wait on the next steps from the health authorities after returning one positive case in our latest testing”

A statement from a spokesperson of rugby:
“We are monitoring the situation and are in contact with the clubs,”
